Case Study #1: Rebranding EXIM Bank of the United States

EXIM Bank Branding in Washington DC by TriVision

Client Challenges: Established in 1934, the Export–Import Bank of the United States (EXIM), the U.S.’s official export credit agency, sought to update its image to appear fresh and contemporary, a challenge given its long-established history. It was crucial to move away from a conservative image to attract both large government corporations and small businesses, ensuring it did not intimidate potential investors.

Solutions Provided: TriVision began by conducting a comprehensive audit of the old brand and gathered insights from stakeholders, including employees, customers, and the executive board. Based on our findings, we created unique concepts for the new logo and presented them to focus groups for further consultation and review. Once the final logo was selected, we applied the new brand across all digital and traditional media, including the Annual EXIM Conference.

Results and Impact:

  • Attracted More Small Businesses: TriVision met EXIM’s objective by successfully developing a new, more modern brand identity that attracted small businesses while meeting U.S. government requirements.
  • Enhanced and Modernized Brand: The new logo is fresh and recognizable, featuring a pop of green and blue colors. The green arrow symbolizes prosperity and growth, while the blue represents trust and authority.
  • Business Growth: In 2020, EXIM approved $164 million in support of American small businesses. EXIM proudly supports businesses of all sizes, with nearly 90 percent of its authorizations directly benefiting U.S. small businesses.

We also crafted compelling brand messaging that highlighted Blue Ridge Network’s innovative solutions.
